Med inspiration från skulpturala former och hur konventionella avsmalnande ljus säkras, formas och används, är U Candle från Glaze Studio ett handgjutet, dubbelbrinnande ljus tillverkat av 100% vitt bivax. Det hålls på plats av en hållare i massiv mässing som omsluter basen av U-formen.
I bought this mostly for the sculptural shape and didn't expect it to actually burn so evenly. The dual ends both light fine and it's held up way longer than the cheap tapers I usually get.
The beeswax gives off this faint honey smell while it burns, which I wasn't expecting but ended up loving. It's heavier than it looks too, so it stays put on the shelf instead of tipping. Two wicks means it actually lights evenly, no tunneling so far.
Burned the U shape down to the bend over about three evenings and it kept its curve the whole time instead of slumping into a puddle like my old tapers. Hand-poured beeswax, you can actually see the layers where it was poured.
