Geïnspireerd door sculpturale vormen en de manier waarop conventionele taps toelopende kaarsen worden bevestigd, gevormd en gebruikt, is de U Candle van Glaze Studio een met de hand gegoten, dubbel brandende kaars gemaakt van 100% witte bijenwas. Deze wordt op zijn plaats gehouden door een houder van massief messing, die zich om de basis van de U-vorm wikkelt.
I bought this mostly for the sculptural shape and didn't expect it to actually burn so evenly. The dual ends both light fine and it's held up way longer than the cheap tapers I usually get.
The beeswax gives off this faint honey smell while it burns, which I wasn't expecting but ended up loving. It's heavier than it looks too, so it stays put on the shelf instead of tipping. Two wicks means it actually lights evenly, no tunneling so far.
Burned the U shape down to the bend over about three evenings and it kept its curve the whole time instead of slumping into a puddle like my old tapers. Hand-poured beeswax, you can actually see the layers where it was poured.
