The silky hand of this percale surprised me — it feels closer to a fine dress shirt than standard bedding. First night on it and I slept noticeably cooler, which I didn't expect from cotton this crisp.
Three washes in and the crispness is still there, but the extra-long-staple cotton has that silkiness that makes sliding into bed feel like a small luxury. It's lighter than I expected for how substantial it feels, which is perfect for humid nights.
I was worried percale would feel stiff, but this has a crispness that somehow still feels silky against my skin. Three washes in and it's only gotten softer, no pilling at all.
