As with all natural stones, color and pattern variations are common.
Those white veins across the black marble look even better in person than in the photos, almost like they shift when you move the dish around. It's solid and heavy enough that it doesn't slide off the sink edge, which is exactly what I needed for my bar soap.
The precision of the cuts really stands out in person—each edge is clean and sharp against the marble’s natural veining. It’s heavier than I expected, which actually makes it feel sturdier on the counter, and it drains water exactly as it should.
The veins on this black marble dish look almost hand-painted, and the matte surface doesn't show water spots at all. My soap sits perfectly snug without sliding into a puddle, which is more than I can say for my old ceramic one.
